Eligibility & Registration Process

The Candidates seeking admission to the First Year and Direct Second Year Engineering Professional Degree Course (B. E.) are required to register their candidature on the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra web portal. The below steps are MANDATORY as per rules published by the “Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2017 for and further notification dated April 24, 2017.

Fee Structure

Every year, the tuition and development fees are decided by the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA) of Govt of Maharashtra. All students admitted to the Institute need to pay the fees as per fees approved by FRA.

Cancellation & Refund

The candidate shall apply online on the DTE web portal through the student login and submit duly signed copy of system generated an application for cancellation of his / her admission with the institution.

After receiving the duly signed admission cancellation request letter from the candidate, the Institution shall cancel the admission immediately and generate online acknowledgment of cancellation of admission through institution login as per schedule published by the Competent Authority, and issue a signed copy to the Candidate.

The refund of fees on or before the cut-off date of admission declared by the Competent Authority shall be paid after deducting the applicable processing charges or refund rule shall be as per the guidelines of the appropriate authorities or the State Government, as the case may be.

If the admission is canceled after the cut-off date of the admission declared by the Competent Authority, there shall be no refund except the Caution Deposit (if any).

FAQs

Question: What are the eligibility criteria for engineering admission?

Answer: Candidates intending to apply for B. E. should pass XIIth examination in English with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry (could be replaced with permissible technical vocational subject) and Mathematics. Further, the candidate is also required to have a valid score in MHT – CET / JEE (Main) for that Year.

Question: What is the Application Procedure?

Answer: The application process for engineering admission is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra. It is MANDATORY for the candidate to REGISTER and ENROL on the website for becoming part of the Central Admission Process.

Question: I would like to take admission at Institutional Level through Management Quota. Is it still mandatory for me to register and enrol on the Directorate of Technical Education Web Portal?

Answer: YES. Registration and Enrolment on the webportal of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra is MANDATORY.

Question: Can students from other states of India take admission though the Central Admission Process?

Answer: YES but, they should have a valid score in MH – CET / JEE (Main) for that Year and should pass XIIth examination in English with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry (could be replaced with permissible technical vocational subject) and Mathematics

Question: What is the eligibility for availing scholarship

Answer: Candidate should be domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and produce all required documents as per scholarship category and prevailing norms.

Question: What is difference between B. E. & B. Tech?

Answer: Practically there is no difference.

B. E. is Bachelor of Engineering & B. Tech. is Bachelor of Technology. In the state of Maharashtra most of the universities have named the engineering course as BE while IIT’s & few autonomous institutes like COE, Pune have named their programmes as B.Tech. Students are requested to go through the syllabus to know more about the programme.
